Dr Lauren Cohee

Dr. Cohee is a pediatric infectious disease specialist, with primary research interests in malaria and global child health. Dr. Cohee completed her medical degree and residency training in Pediatrics at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine followed by fellowship training in Infectious Diseases and Tropical Pediatrics as well as a Master’s degree in Clinical Research at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. She is currently a Reader in Paediatrics and Child Health at the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine. Her research focuses on identifying reservoirs of malaria transmission and defining and addressing the burden of malaria in school-age children. As the malaria focal point for the Research Consortium for School Health and Nutrition, she is an advocate for integrated school health programs to improve learning and increase human capital in sub-Saharan Africa.
