Women in Malaria conference
The Women in Malaria (WiM) Virtual Conference highlights the outstanding contributions of women and non-binary scientists in the field of malaria. The conference aims to showcase the most exciting work from researchers at all stages of their scientific careers and from all geographic regions.
The second WiM Conference was held in 2025 and organised by Associate Professor Silvie Huijben (Chair), Damaris Matoke (Co-Chair), Dr. Megan Greischar, Dr. Brook Jensen, Dr. Nsa Dada and Dr. Thorey K Jonsdottir. The detailed conference programme can be found HERE and the MESA report from the conference can be accessed HERE.
The 2nd WiM conference was a huge success and packed with two keynote addresses, seven scientific sessions, one selected symposium, a roundtable discussion, poster session and two peer-mentoring workshops. Thank you all who attended the conference and helped amplify the voices of women in malaria research around the world. We hope to see everyone again at the next conference!
