Evelyn Olanga is a vector biologist working in the field of malaria entomology. She holds a PhD in Medical entomology from the University of Nairobi and received training at the International Centre of Insect Physiology and Ecology (icipe) in Kenya. Evelyn currently works as a Postdoctoral research fellow at the Malaria Alert Centre of the College of Medicine in Blantyre, Malawi. Her research work focuses on characterizing mosquito behaviour and the risk of malaria in endemic districts in Malawi. Evelyn’s research interests centre on studying mosquito behaviour ecology, development of novel tools for malaria vector surveillance and control and evaluating vector control interventions.
