Hsiao-Han Chang, PhD
Assistant Proffessor
National Tsing Hua University
Hsiao-Han Chang joined National Tsing Hua University in Taiwan as an assistant Professor in August 2019. Her work is focused on understanding the evolution and spread of pathogens using population genetic tools and mathematical modeling. Her malaria work includes inferring migration patterns across geographic scales, developing statistical tools to elucidate infection history, and modeling the impact of heterogeneous duration of infection on selection efficiency. Before her current position, she obtained her PhD with Dr. Daniel Hartl and Dr. John Wakeley at Harvard University, and did her postdoctoral research with Dr. Marc Lipsitch and Dr. Caroline Buckee at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.
